How to maintain mechanical watches?

Maintenance of mechanical watches is a meticulous and important process, the following are some key maintenance steps and precautions:

First, daily cleaning and maintenance

Case and strap cleaning:

Often use a soft cloth or silk to gently wipe away dirt and sweat stains on the case.

The strap, especially the leather strap, should avoid long-term exposure to the sun to prevent fading, and avoid contact with oily substances or cosmetics to avoid penetration and corrosion.

For metal bands, you can gently scrub dirt with a soft toothbrush and then dry with a dry cloth.

Waterproof performance check:

If the mechanical watch has a waterproof function, the waterproof performance should be checked regularly and the waterproof rubber ring should be replaced. The waterproof watch can only be waterproof for one year, and a new waterproof ring must be replaced after one year.
